5 out of 5 stars Great USB Hub   August 24, 2010

This does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it very well. It's powered, so you can charge iPods and the like from it as well as powering external hard drives and other devices that won't work with bus-powered hubs. It also looks nice on my desk, which is another plus. Only problem I've had with it is that the ports are too close together to use flash drives in. If you use a flash drive, you will usually block the two ports on either side of the one the flash drive is plugged into. This usually isn't a big deal (how many flash drives do you really need?) but just a word of warning.

2 out of 5 stars Stopped working after 6 months of constant use   August 3, 2010

It was good while it lasted - really good, in fact. All 7 hubs were in use, with no issue about speed. Then one day, my computer (windows 7 desktop) didn't recognize my scanner and my wireless keyboard and mouse became unresponsive. I diagnosed the problem after realizing it couldn't see my USB key either. All in all, a disappointing experience.

4 out of 5 stars Best Hub For Purchase To Date   July 31, 2010

I'm currently using a 24 inch iMac and had been looking for a well made and reliable USB hub for a couple of months. It seems that the majority of the USB hubs on the market are cheaply made and unreliable. My decision to go with the D-Link 7 port hub was due entirely to the feedback here on Amazon.com. I've had the hub now for a week and no issues or problems. Setup is as easy as plugging in the power supply and supplied USB cable. Build quality is the best I've come across in a USB hub. I would definitely purchase another one of the hubs.

It is simple and works well for me on a MacBook Pro with external hard drives, iPhone, iPad, Printer and scanner. I will be buying a second one.

5 out of 5 stars Works Right Out Of The Box   July 26, 2010

I needed to replace a 4 port USB adapter for the second time as they both burnt out so I decided to get a 7 port adapter and eliminate 2 4 port adapters I had connected. This new one was easy to hook up and Windows detected it as soon as I plugged it in. Working great for the past 3 weeks. I plan on getting another for my external drives so I dont have to daisy chain my other 4 port adapters.

Enjoy
